From Sandra Harris who credits Edan Hughes' book, Artists in California, 1786-1940:

Clifton A. FARON was a painter, teacher. While in Seattle in 1909-1910 he taught art at the University of Washington. During the next 12 years he lived and worked in Los Angeles.
