This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Born in Chicago, IL on July 26, 1894. Farson was a child prodigy who at age nine composed hymns that are still in some hymnals. At age 15 he began art studies at the AIC and completed his education at Evanston Academy and Meyerboth College in his native city. In 1932 he opened a studio in the Alamo in San Antonio where he sold paintings that area. Upon moving to Los Angeles in 1934, he did advertising art for Western Lithograph Company and for 16 years was an illustrator for U.S. Corps of Engineers. The last 30 years of his life was spent in Santa Rosa, CA; he died there on June 7, 1984. In: The Alamo (portrait).
