(George) Dwight Franklin (born 01/28/1888, New York, NY; died 01/19/1971, Los Angeles, CA).
In the early 1900’s, Dwight Franklin developed the miniature ethnological, historical, and biological diorama as a highly popular and effective educational tool now commonly used in museums throughout the world. His work was commissioned and displayed by at least 20 museums, institutions, and national institutions -- often heralding a publicly acknowledged dramatic change in an institu (showing 500 of 18240 characters). |
