| | Born in California on Jan. 25, 1900. Fourtane appears to have spent his entire life in northern California. He was a resident of San Francisco and Sausalito from 1924 until entering the service during WWII. By the 1950s he had moved to the Monterey Peninsula where his jewlery studio in Carmel’s Pine Inn soon became a popular fixture.
