| | Born in New York on Nov. 15, 1842. The daughter of General John Charles Frémont, "Lilly" was a talented artist. Known works include two pencil-and-watercolor sketches of the Frémont home in Bear Valley in 1859. In the 1890s she moved to Los Angeles and died there on May 28, 1919.
