| | Born in Roanoke, VA on Oct. 27, 1869. At age 16 Flohri became political cartoonist for Leslie's Magazine. He settled in Los Angeles in 1920 and painted portraits of many silent-screen stars. In 1928 he joined the staff at Disney Studios where he remained until his death on Dec. 24, 1938. | Source:
