| Born in Leeds, Yorkshire, England on July 23, 1905. Ernest was the son of artist Thomas Forestal. He immigrated to Los Angeles in 1921 and worked there until 1950. Upon moving to the Monterey
Peninsula, he remained there until his death at his home in Pacific Grove on April 7, 1964.
