Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Eurilda Loomis France had strong training in the classic arts. In Paris, she studied with Constant and Lefebvre and at the Academie Julian with Carolus-Duran.
She was married to artist Jesse Leach France, and they painted together in Europe for several years. She exhibited in the Paris Salon in 1890 and the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago. She also exhibited at the National Academy of Design and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. (showing 500 of 2107 characters). |
