This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Sculptor Florence Freeman is particularly noted for her bas-reliefs for mantelpieces. A Bostonian, she traveled to Italy in 1861, under the protective wing of Charlotte Cushman.
The most famous of her mantelpiece bas-reliefs was Children and Yule Logs with Fireside Spirits.
