Biography from a third party submitted on 05/12/2007:
| Graham Forsythe was born in 1952 in Ballymena, County Antrim, Ireland. The easy going young lad loved the scent and feeling of the outdoors, but the beauty of nature remained a mystery to him; his eyesight was so poor that he was medically classified as legally blind.
At the age of thirty-eight what seemed like a miracle happened. Graham was told that an operation may be able to give him sight, real sight, not just shadows and gray blurs. Of course Graham was keen to have the operation done, whatever the risk. It worked! Graham could see for the first time, he could see the beauty of nature all around him. He could see the glorious hues of autumn in the mountains, the flowering bursts of color in the summer, sunsets on the water, and he fell in love with nature.
His desire to paint was born at once; he took canvas, brushes and oil paints out into the meadows and beside the cool running streams and began to paint. From that time, he has been painting landscape and seascapes.
