The following information courtesy of Deanna Bayer:

I knew Dr. Fisher during the late 1960's.  He was my teacher and friend.  He was a very informative teacher and truly cared about his students.  He would have gatherings of students at his home/art gallery in Coral Gables.  There would be dynamic discussions about many topics, music performed by some of the students, and the opportunity to truly appreciate his art.

He did 2 series of paintings inspired by The Rubiyat.  One was smaller and darker.  They were seen by a patron who commissioned him to do a larger, more colorful series.  There were many pictures in each series.  I do not rememer exactly, but believe around 10-12.  He also made a series of oils based on the Hopi Indians.  As he got older, he painted larger canvasas.  He did not limit himself to landscapes.  He did not limit himself to one style of painting.

Before becoming a Psychology professor at the University of Miami, he had been a psychologist for the courts in Illinois.  He was the court psychologist for a serial killer in Illinois.  Prior to that he had 2 divinity degrees.
Art and his students were his life.
