This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Please note: Artists not classified as American in our database may have limited biographical data
compared to the extensive information about American artists.
Twin brother of artist Leo Frank, Hans Frank was also a woodcut artist. Born in Vienna he studied at the School of Applied Arts in Vienna with Kenner and later (1907–1911) with Rumpler at the Vienna Academy.
Frank’s work is distinguished by a refined sense of color and line. His favorite motifs were birds and forest animals depicted in their natural habitats.
