| Herbert Waldron Faulkner was born in Stamford, Connecticut on October 8, 1860. Faulkner was a resident of Stamford into the 1880s. He studied at Yale University and the Art Students League in New York City. During 1902-08 he was in Paris, France where he studied at Ecole des Beaux Arts. He then was in Washington, CT from 1910 until his demise in 1940.
