| Born in High River, Alberta, Canada on Oct. 13, 1910. Fagan moved to California in 1920 and settled in Oakland. While an honor student at UC Berkeley, he was editor and designer of the California Pelican. Upon graduation, he studied painting with Otis Oldfield and Maynard Dixon. From 1930-61 he worked in San Francisco as a commercial artist, continued there from 1961-75 as art director of the Wells Fargo Bank, and in private practice until 1988. He taught at the CSFA (1940s), CCAC (1950-52) (showing 500 of 788 characters). |
