Watercolorist Jack Flynn was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts in 1927. In 1963 a serious back injury forced Stone to give up his work stocking shelves in a market. During his rehabilitation he began to draw and eventually enrolled in classes in watercolor painting.
In the book "40 Watercolorists and How They Work" by Susan E. Meyer, Flynn speaks of his enjoyment of the medium, "I still prefer watercolor because it allows me to make a very positive, fluid, and sensitive statement that can (showing 500 of 833 characters). |
