| Born in San Francisco, CA on Sept. 22, 1910. During the 1930s Forman was a resident of his native city and active in the local art scene. He was a member of the Thirteen Watercolorists (founded by Maurice Logan and Maynard Dixon). While earning his living at commercial illustration, in his leisure he painted watercolors of the Mother Lode country, urban scenes of the San Francisco Bay area, and landscapes from Mendocino to Mexico.
