June Felter is a figurative painter born in Oakland, California. She has never moved from the Bay Area. She studied at the Oakland Art Institute from 1937-1940, California School of Arts and Crafts,1954-1958, and the San Francisco Art Institute from 1960-1961.
For over 30 years she taught and exhibited her art throughout the Bay Area.
Her contemporaries were Richard Diebenkorn, Elmer Bischoff, and David Park all of whom were instrumental in the San Francisco figurative mo (showing 500 of 784 characters). |
