| | Born in Toronto, Canada on March 21, 1858. By 1876 Lillie Littlejohn had settled in San Francisco and was studying at the School of Design where she was greatly influenced by Virgil Williams. During the 1890s she married Arthur Freeman. She had a studio-home in San Francisco and was active in the local art scene until the earthquake of 1906. Mrs. Freeman died when her car was hit by a Southern Pacific train in Oakland on July 29, 1923. Her works include landscapes of the Alameda marsh and still lifes. Exh: SFAA, 1887-98; Calif.
