Linda King Ferguson's art is a direct expression of her spiritual
journeys. In her outward journey of walking labyrinths to the inward
journey of meditation, Ferguson visualizes the abstract imagery which
eventually inhabits her paintings. The joys and difficulties of
bringing this imagery to the canvas are manifested in her use of pastel
and oil on the same surface. The contrast of mediums gives her
paintings an energy, which echoes her spiritual journeys.
