| | Born in California on May 17, 1878. Lucana was a descendant of Juan Forrester who purchased the lands of Mission San Juan Capistrano when the missions were secularized circa 1833. A lifelong resident of Orange County, she was most active as a painter during 1880-95. She later married Thomas McFadden and remained in Orange County until her demise on Sept. 19, 1954. | Source:
