The following personal account was submitted in March of 2006 by Theo Woods: I was a student and protege to Martha Fiedler during the early to mid-1970's
when she lived in Brattleboro, Vermont and owned Fireside Studio, where she
taught classes in oil painting and ceramics. She was unmarried at the time, but
sometime later married a man in Florida, where I believe she relocated and lived
until she died. She had a daughter named Muriel, whom I never met, but who at
the time lived in Connecticut. She also had a younger son, Linwood Fiedler, who
lived with her in Brattleboro and whom I was acquainted with.
