| FAY, Nellie L. (1862-1921). Painter. Born in Eureka, CA on Feb. 11, 1862. During the 1880s Nellie Fay began art training in San Francisco at the School of Design under Emil Carlsen and Arthur Mathews. After her art studies, she moved to Sacramento and became active with the Kingsley Art Club. Returning to San Francisco in 1915, she was active there until her demise on March 26, 1921.
