| Born in Denver, CO on Dec. 13, 1881. French graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and studied art in NYC under Robert Henri. He settled in Los Angeles in 1922 and further studied at the Chouinard School under Dike, Sheets, and Barse Miller. Most of his career was spent as an art director for the movie studios and architect for the homes of stars Pickford, Fairbanks, and Talmadge. He died in Los Angeles on March 16, 1974.
