Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Paul Fjelde became a noted sculptor who was a long-time professor of sculpture at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn from 1929. He also taught at the National Academy of Design, and from 1951 to 1955, was editor of the National Sculpture Review.
He studied at the Minneapolis School of Art, the Art Students League, the Royal Academy in Copenhagen, and Grande Chaumiere in Paris. He exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago from 1913 to 1919, and the Pennsylvania (showing 500 of 5296 characters). |
