| Illustrator. Printmaker. An Ohio resident who served in the Civil War and then worked as a civil engineer for the Union Pacific railroad operating through Kansas. Four views of the Union Pacific right-of-way were published in Harpers. Fisher was on the scene of the Indian War in Kansas before Harpers’ special artist T.R. Davis arrived. Three of Fisher’s drawing pertaining to the war were published by Harpers in 1867. (showing 425 of 1094 characters). |
