Rachel Feinstein was born in Arizona in 1971 and currently lives and works in New York. She graduated from Columbia University in 1993 and then Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. She is represented by Marianne Boesky Gallery in New York. She has had solo exhibitions at Marianne Boesky Gallery (2001, 2005, 2008); Art in the Atrium, organized by Art Production Fund at Sotheby's, New York (2002); Special project for Frieze Art Fair at Marc Jacobs (2007); Rachel Feinstein: The Snow Queen, Lever House, New York (2011); Gagosian Gallery, Rome (2013) and has an upcoming exhibition in Madison Square Park (May - Sept, 2014). She has been included in group exhibitions at renowned international institutions such as MoMA P.S.1 (2000); Barbara Gladstone Gallery, New York (2000); The Barbican, London (2001); Spruth Magers Gallery, Cologne (2003); and The Metropolitan Opera House (2010).
