| Born in Kiev, Russia on Dec. 25, 1890. While based in NYC, Frantz illustrated for Cosmopolitan, Saturday Evening Post, and other national magazines. About 1937 he moved to southern California and settled in Van Nuys. He died there on April 15, 1953.
