Biography from American Eagle Fine Art:
| Born in Columbus, Wisconsin on March 17, 1872, Stella Fiske studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, Art Students League of New York City, and with William Merritt Chase. For five years she taught art at Wayland University in Wisconsin. After an extensive painting tour in Europe, she settled in Los Angeles County in 1918 and had studio-homes in Eagle Rock and Venice.
A spinster, she died in Venice, California on February 17, 1957. Her Impressionist style and palette are similiar to those of Guy Rose with whom she may have studied. She was a member of the West Coast Arts, the Laguna Beach Art Association. She exhibited with the Eagle Rock Artists, 1931-32.
