This biography from the Archives of AskART:
A longtime resident of Texas, Sue Fletcher was born in Bonham and became an artist noted for portraits with secondary subjects being landscapes, florals, architecture, and angels. As a fine artist, she works in acrylics and pastels in a style that combines Realism and Impressionism. She has also spent many years working as a commercial artist.

She earned a degree from Texas Tech University in Advertising Art and Design and for over twenty years earned her living in commercial art while doing fine art in her spare time.

Her paintings have been shown in numerous juried, group, and solo exhibits including at the Fort Concho Museum in San Angelo, Texas, and the Lubbock Arts Festival. Outside of Texas, she has exhibited in The American Artist Registry's National Competition in Alexandria, Virginia, and the Akron Society of Fine Artist's Grand Exhibition in Akron, Ohio.

In 1995, she moved to Bronte, Texas, with a population of less than one-thousand residents, so that she could be near her family and take advantage of an opportunity to teach at Coke County Juvenile Justice Center, a juvenile prison.
