| Suzan Frecon was born in Mexico, Pennsylvania in 1941. Frecon earned her BFA from Pennsylvania State University and continued at the University of Strasbourg and L’Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. She taught a course in materials and techniques for many years at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She currently lives there.
Her works are held at the National Gallery of Art (Washington, DC); Museum of Modern Art (New York); Whitney Museum (New York); and Fogg Museum (Cambridge, MA).
