Edward Faiers was a painter in oil and tempera of cheerful subject matter such as garden scenes and dance figures in vividly colored abstract style. Born in Newquay, England and raised in Canada, Faiers was loosely associated with a group of Canadian painters called the Indian Space. He studied at the Banff School of Fine Arts at the University of Alberta, and later with Will Barnet at the Art Students League of New York. In 1952, Faiers settled in Memphis, Tennessee to teach (showing 500 of 10192 characters). |
