The following information was submitted in August of 2006 by Diane Felcyn. The information was reviewed and approved by members of the Gold family: Albert Gold studied at the Philadelphia Museum School of Industrial Art (now University of the Arts). In 1935, at the age of 19, he began exhibiting his work in group shows and in 1939 his work was exhibited at the New York World's Fair. He was one of the artists represented in the 1942 Metropolitan Museum of Art exhibition, Artists for V (showing 500 of 3655 characters). |
