Born in Jamaica, New York, Albert Greene (sometimes spelled Green) was active in Pennsylvania from 1909 to 1927. He studied at Corcoran Gallery in DC, the Art Students League in New York, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and Academy Grande Chaumiere in Paris.
He was a member of the Philadelphia Sketch Club and the Society of Independent Artists, and he exhibited with the Society of Washington Artists, the Pennsylvania Academy, and the Salons of America.
