| | Born in NYC on Feb. 26, 1869. While a resident of San Francisco in the 1880s, Goldenson painted landscapes, portraits and religious genre. A self-taught artist, his works have a primitive charm. In 1886 he was arrested and tried for the murder of his 14-year-old girlfriend, Mamie Kelly.
