| Andrew Gallano, born in Fitchburg Massachusetts, attended the Springfield Museum of Art School and was a commercial artist before World War II.
After serving in the European theatre he returned to Feeding Hills, Massachusetts and began studying and painting with W. Lester Stevens. The two men traveled together often and paintedat Monhegen Island, Maine, Grand Manan, Nova Scotia, Rockport, Massachusetts, and the Berkshires.
Gallano was a plein-air painter who specialized in landscapes, seascapes and still lifes. |
