| | Born in Westport, CT on Jan. 13, 1830. "Gussie" Graves moved to California in 1863. She was active in the San Francisco art scene at the turn of the century while maintaining a home across the bay in Alameda. She died there on Feb. 22, 1912. Her rare works include landscapes of northern California as well as floral and fruit still lifes. Exh: Mechanics' Inst.
