| | Born in NYC on April 16, 1892. Greiff settled in San Francisco in 1906 shortly after the earthquake and studied at the Institute of Art. Following service in WWI, he continued his studies at that school. An artist until the Depression, he then opened a retail business. He died in San Francisco on Nov. 1, 1964. | Source:
