| | Born in Salinas, CA on April 26, 1879. Active in San Francisco in the 1890s, Gambitz studied at the Mark Hopkins Art Institute. She taught in the public schools and painted in her leisure. Her painting subjects include the hay barges on the bay, figure studies, and landscapes.
