Danna Lynn Gracia was born July 25, 1960 in Montebello, California. She grew up in the city of Whittier, California. Danna is 1/4 Spanish, 3/4 Irish and English. She is the great niece of G.S. Garcia, the world famous horse track silversmith. Danna's first name is after her maternal grandfather Jack Danna McCrary. Danna Lynn's great aunt, Tina Garcia, was a well known artist in Washington State.
Mentally handicapped, Danna Lynn Garcia went through all her school years in special education. At this point in her life (this bio was written in 1999), she is 40 years old, is considered "highly functioning", and lives on her own. During the day she is in a group for special needs people.
Danna entered Special Olympics as a swimmer and has won 2 Gold Medals and 1 silver medal and one bronze for swimming. Danna's art is done while listening to Christian Music. She says God talks to her, and has had a few encounters with the higher realm, when she has been under anxiety. The angels come to soothe her soul with different messages, inspiring her to paint.
