Born in Melbourne, Australia, she became a U.S. citizen. In 1969, she studied at the Ecoloe Nat Superieure des Beaux Arts at the Sorbonne in Paris. She earned an M.F.A. from Hunter College in New York. She has been an artist-in-residence in numerous schools in the East and lives in New York City.
