| | Born in California on March 19, 1914. Dorothy Cooper was active in Oakland in the 1930s and studied there at the Art Center where she met her husband-to-be, Robert Gilberg. In 1945 they settled in Nevada City, CA where she remained until her death on March 14, 1974. | Source:
