This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Little is known about this artist except that he lived in Philadelphia and exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts between 1855 and 1868. He did marine and landscapes and occasional still lifes.
One of his paintings, Fishbowl Fantasy, is a highly detailed painting of flowers, and fish, feathers, gloves, and other objects on a table in trompe l'oeil style. |
