Born in Poughkeepsie, NY on Nov. 2, 1901, Eleanor Guttridge was
the wife of George Guttridge, a professor at the University of
California. She was a pupil of Herbert Lewis, Henry Snell,
Clarence Chatterton, Raymond Jackson, and Ray Boynton.
She was a resident of Berkeley from the 1930s until 1964 and then lived on the Monterey Peninsula for five years.
Mrs. Guttridge died in Arizona in April 1989.
