Ellen Henne Goodale 1915 - 1991. Born in Seattle, Washington, she studied art at the Pittsburgh Art Institute, the Butler Institute in Youngstown, Ohio, and under artists Eliot O'Harra and Hana Meyercastle.
She returned to Seattle and went to work as a designer in a neon sign shop where she met her husband artist Harvey B. Goodale. For awhile they lived in San Francisco and Reno, Nevada. In 1943 the couple moved to Alaska. After brief stays in Ketchikan, Juneau and (showing 500 of 1029 characters). |
