Submitted March 2005 by John Welch, an owner of a painting by the artist. His sources for data on Eugene Grandin are reference books owned by J. Russell Jinishian, a marine art gallery owner in Fairfield, Connecticut, and the Peabody Museum in Salem, Massachusetts. George Schwartz, Curatorial Assistant of the Peabody, confirmed that Eugene Grandin is represented in the museum, and provided me with Eugene Grandin's full name (Eugene Jacques Philippe Grandin}, his birthdate, etc. His source for this information was from "Dictionnaire des Peintres Francais de la Mer et de la Marine" by Jean-Noel Marchand, 1997.
