Born in 1888 in Chicago, and raised in that city, Frank Gavencky was a painter and art teacher, known for landscapes, seascapes, street scenes and desert vistas of California.
He completed most of his art studies in the Chicago area and developed his painting skills at the Art Institute of Chicago* and Chicago Academy of Fine Arts*. His teachers included Antonin Sterba and Charles Dahlgreen.
In Chicago he was a member of the Palette & Chisel Club*, Chicago Painters and S (showing 500 of 2897 characters). |
