George Gogas was born and raised in Missoula, Montana. Gogas earned a BA from the University of Montana in 1951 and a MFA from the University of Washington in 1955. George Gogas taught in the Missoula schools for almost 30 years. Gogas has worked in a variety of styles during his 40 year career.
