| The following, submitted December 2004, is from the artist.
In childhood I was challenged by the idea of trying to reproduce one of my father's drawings; I would spend hours locked in my room perfecting my skills and my style. For years I have developed a style that combines rich surfaces with creatures or silhouettes. This method of painting has freed me to create a painting from my imagination or my memory. I have to be alone in order to concentrate on color and design.
For the past two years I have been working on three major series: the first describes the mysteries of young women, the second is based on family themes and the third involves nudes.
