Gerald Gregg was born in Lamar, Colorado on January 25, 1907. Gregg showed an early talent for art and was advised to go to art school while still in high school. Gregg graduated from the Layton School of Art in Milwaukee in 1928. After graduation he did freelance work and eventually was hired by Western Printing and Lithographing Company in Racine, Wisconsin.
Gregg is well known for his Dell covers of which he painted 212 from 1943-1950. Gregg described his style as a combination of grap (showing 500 of 1141 characters). |
