| Creating woodcuts, the oldest of printing methods, she is often compared to Eskimo artists with her depictions of animals in landscape and people in rural settings.
She also works in linoleum blocks, and one of her seven-color prints, "Pileated Woodpeckers," earned the Judges Award for Excellence at the Freeport Wildlife Art Festival in 1991.
She has her own gallery, the Eagle Tree Gallery, in downtown Machias, Maine, and has taught printmaking at the University of Maine at Machias and also studio classes at her homestead. |
